AI AGNOSTIC

I am trying to remain uncommitted to particular AI tools. Every day I see something new and promising only to be out-done by the tools of the next day. So I would call myself a cautious early adopter.

I am mostly using AI during concept development, letting its “thinking” show me some possibilities that I may not have otherwise considered.

Gay Hill Church

FUTURE CHURCH

It’s hard to say how/if American churches will change approaches as we enter a virtual existence where bots talk to bots and all facts are averaged into espoused “truths”.

My hope is that churches will remain committed to community and scriptural integrity rather than turn to AI for spiritual principles. However, maybe there’s a Limited Language Model that ingests a canon of theology and doesn’t hallucinate outputs.

I could see how a Limited LM and something like a carefully crafted Delphi “mind” could be a plausible direction for spiritual counseling.

AI SLOP

Apart from society slipping towards “assume everything is fake” I think we are also in danger of assuming everything is slop until we trudge through the murkiness to find true gems. Our standards may drop in the glut of useless media.
